ABOUT THE REGION
Karamoja – a land of challenges, a home of grace
Poverty in the Karamoja region is among the deepest in East Africa. Many families live in simple huts made of wood, branches and straw, which often do not provide even basic protection from the weather.
Although this area is marked by poverty, drought and instability, Karamoja is also a place of extraordinary warmth and deep spirituality. The people here live simply, but with a big heart.
