Dobri moj Gospodine,

Raspeti i Uskrsli Otkupitelju,

Isuse Kriste,

ulazimo u sveto vrijeme korizme —

vrijeme milosti i obraćenja.

Privedi nas svome križu,

drvetu života i prijestolju ljubavi,

da prihvatimo svoj križ

i nosimo ga pouzdanjem

kojim si ga Ti nosio

za spasenje svijeta.

Daj nam da u Tvome križu prepoznamo

cijenu našega otkupljenja,

krv Jaganjca koja oduzima grijehe svijeta

i izvor milosrđa

koji nikada ne presušuje.

Neka nam bude oslonac u slabosti,

utjeha u patnji

i nada u svakoj tami.

Nauči nas nositi ga strpljivo,

u poniznosti srca,

prinoseći svoje boli

za posvećenje Crkve

i spasenje naše braće i sestara.

Neka nas križ čuva od grijeha,

od navezanosti na prolazno

i od svega što nas udaljuje od Tebe.

Neka bude svjetiljka našim koracima

koja nas vodi prema Golgoti —

mjestu žrtve i pobjede,

gdje smrt biva pobijeđena

i rađa se novi život.

Dopusti da s Tobom umremo grijehu,

da s Tobom uskrsnemo milosti

i živimo kao djeca svjetla.

Jer u Tebi umrijeti znači živjeti,

a izgubiti sebe znači zadobiti život vječni.

My good Lord,

Crucified and Risen Redeemer,

Jesus Christ,

we enter the holy season of Lent —

a time of grace and conversion.

Draw us to Your Cross,

the tree of life and the throne of love,

that we may accept our own cross

and carry it with the trust

with which You carried Yours

for the salvation of the world.

Grant that in Your Cross we may recognize

the price of our redemption,

the Blood of the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world,

and the fountain of mercy

that never runs dry.

May it be our support in weakness,

our comfort in suffering,

and our hope in every darkness.

Teach us to bear it patiently,

in humility of heart,

offering our sorrows

for the sanctification of the Church

and the salvation of our brothers and sisters.

May the Cross guard us from sin,

from attachment to what passes away,

and from everything that leads us far from You.

May it be a lamp for our steps

leading us to Calvary —

the place of sacrifice and victory,

where death is defeated

and new life is born.

Grant that we may die to sin with You,

rise with You in grace,

and live as children of the light.

For in You to die means to live,

and to lose oneself means to gain eternal life.
